COORDINATOR 

OPPORTUNITIES (VOLUNTEER)

There is a role for every solutionary...

Time Commitment: One day (~2 hours) per month + ~1-2 hours for event preparation

Experience Requirements: No experience required.

Age Requirement: You can be any age to be a chalking coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Coordinate monthly or bi-monthly chalking events by selecting a date and location, promoting the event on the Solutionary Events Facebook page and/or website, and inviting people to join you to use chalk to write solutionary messages on public sidewalks, hand out leaflets to people walking by, and answer questions that may arise from pedestrians

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and pedestrians.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. After your initial interview with a Solutionary Events representative, you will be given access to post and create events on the Facebook page. Please be sure to follow our guidelines. Your location must be approved by a member of the Board of Directors and City before participating in the chalking event. 

Time Commitment: One day (~2-3 hours) per month

Age Requirement: You can be any age to be a leafleting coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Coordinate weekly or monthly leafleting events by creating an event on the Solutionary Events Facebook page and/or website, invite people to join you, hand out solutionary leaflets to people at events or on college campuses, answer questions that may arise

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and people who approach you to learn about what you are doing.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. After your initial interview with a Solutionary Events representative, you will be given access to post and create events on the Facebook page. We will also send Solutionary leaflets to your address. Please be sure to follow our guidelines and keep track of leaflets distributed.

Time Commitment: One day (~3-4 hours) per month + 1-3 hours of preparation

Experience Requirements: No experience required.

Age Requirement: You must be 18 or older for this leadership position, since many animal rescues require volunteers to be 18 or older.

Responsibilities: Coordinate with local sanctuaries, humane societies, or animal rescues monthly group work days, create an event on the Solutionary Events Facebook page and/or website, invite people to volunteer, attend your event and follow the instructions of the animal rescue's staff.

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers, animals, and rescue staff.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. After your initial interview with a Solutionary Events representative, you will be given access to post and create events on the Facebook page. Please be sure to follow our guidelines.

Time Commitment: One day (~2 hours) per week or One day (~2 hours) per month - It's up to you!

Experience Requirements: No experience required.

Age Requirement: You can be any age to be a beach/park cleanup coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Coordinate weekly or beach/park cleanup events by creating an event on the Solutionary Events Facebook page and/or website, invite people to join you, bring tote bags and reusable gloves, clean up the park, hand out seed-embedded leaflets to people walking by, answer questions that may arise from people curious about the mission.

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and people who may approach you during your volunteering.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. Age Requirement: You can be between the ages of 14-17 to be a tabling coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Find out about "solutionary certified" events in your area, share them with the Solutionary Events team, set up a table with literature and solutionary resources, educate event guests about the mission and purpose of Solutionary Events, ask people to sign up for the solutionary newsletter

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and people who may approach you during your volunteering.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. Age Requirement: You can be between the ages of 14-17 to be a food sampling coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Find out about "solutionary certified" events in your area, share them with the Solutionary Events team, set up a table with literature and solutionary resources, follow guidelines for offering vegan food samples, educate event guests about vegan food and the mission and purpose of Solutionary Events, ask people to sign up for the solutionary newsletter.

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, extensive knowledge regarding a vegan lifestyle, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and people who may approach you during your volunteering.

Specifications: All Solutionary volunteers must attend an orientation before volunteering for Solutionary Events. Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website. After your initial interview with a Solutionary Events representative, you will be given access to post and create events on the Facebook page. Please be sure to follow our guidelines.

Time Commitment:  One day (~6 hours) per month, one day (~6 hours) every other month, or one day (~6 hours) when you are able to - It's up to you!

Experience Requirements: No experience required.

Age Requirement: You can be any age to be a film screening coordinator, but if you are under 18, we ask that a parent/guardian supports your leadership.

Responsibilities: Coordinate film screening events by contacting the Solutionary Events team for resources and information on licensing procedures, invite people to attend, set-up the film and follow Solutionary Events' film screening instructions, answer questions that may arise from attendees.

Qualifications: Lots of enthusiasm for making the world a better place, ability to learn about social justice and environmental regeneration, commitment to Solutionary Events’ goals and programs. Ability to follow careful instructions. Must be friendly and respectful of other volunteers and attendees.

Once orientation has been attended, Solutionary Events volunteers may volunteer on days that suit their schedule as long as there is some consistency and the event date has been posted to the Solutionary Events Facebook page and website.
