Sarasota's Solutionary Health Festival - November 17, 2018

Position - Admission Manager

Featuring nationally renowned & local speakers, 50+ health-conscious, eco-friendly, compassionate vendors & exhibitors, animal rescue groups, vegan food, food demonstrations, humane education, live music & entertainment, yoga classes, and activities for children and families, Sarasota's Solutionary Health Festival offers a diverse experience for all to learn about living a healthy, compassionate, and eco-friendly lifestyle. 

Position Details:

The Admission Manager will be responsible for managing admission of visitors coming to the festival. The role will entail being set up under a tent by the entrance of the festival to monitor all attendees. Volunteers will be available to help cover breaks and a water cooler will be provided. Mandatory orientation will start at 9:00 a.m.

Position - Speaker Liaison

Position Details:

The Speaker Liaison will be responsible for assisting speakers and chefs with their needs. The role will entail ensuring speakers show up to the speaker tent on time, managing the time of their presentations, and assisting chefs with passing out food samples. The speaker liaison will also be responsible for having a t-shirt and water bottle ready to give to each speaker/chef.  Mandatory orientation will start at 9:00 a.m.

Position - Kids Zone Supervisor

Position Details:

The Kids Zone Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring kids and volunteers at the Healthy Kids Zone. There will be several ongoing activities for children and several scheduled activities. The Kids Zone Supervisor will instruct the volunteers how to teach children the activities (all very simple). Volunteers will be available to help and info sheets for all activities will be provided. Mandatory orientation starts at 9:00 a.m.

Position - Festival Champion

Featuring nationally renowned & local speakers, 50+ health-conscious, eco-friendly, compassionate vendors & exhibitors, animal rescue groups, vegan food, food demonstrations, humane education, live music & entertainment, yoga classes, and activities for children and families, Sarasota's Solutionary Health Festival offers a diverse experience for all to learn about living a healthy, compassionate, and eco-friendly lifestyle. 

Position Details:

The Festival Champion will be responsible for several different tasks throughout the day. In the morning from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 a.m., our volunteers will need help with setting up the event. At 8:00 a.m., the Festival Champion will be expected to assist vendors with finding their vendor spot. This will mean asking vendors to check in with Kevin Layton, the vendor liaison and then directing them where to go for their spot. The Festival Champion may also be asked to help vendors with setting up their tents. At 10:00 a.m., we will need to ensure water is set up for guests and vendors. The Festival Champion will be responsible for helping to ensure all water coolers are full and cups are provided. From 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., the Festival Champion will be expected to help with miscellaneous functions of keeping the event clean and organized, such as managing the trash, recycling, and compost, checking on water coolers, providing breaks to volunteers as needed, etc. At the end of the day, responsibilities will include breaking down the event, taking down tents, and loading chairs/tables into a trailer. The shift begins at 7:00 a.m., and mandatory orientation starts at 9:00 a.m. We prefer applicants who choose to take the camping option.
